Our Aims:

Equipping primary school children with essential cookery skills

Educating children on healthy eating and making good food choices

Teaching children about a balanced diet

Making sure all children have access to good quality meals and have the skills to prepare them themselves.

What sets Nutritional Ninjas apart is that our whole team is passionate about fulfilling our aims, to giving children the opportunity to cook and to enjoy cooking in a fun and safe environment.

We operate after school clubs in over 50 different schools and have found the winning formula for both schools, parents and children. So much so that we have launched our franchise opportunity as demand for our classes is so high.
Nutritional Ninjas after school clubs are our most popular offering. We run in many schools each week and have children returning to cook with us term after term. Nutritional Ninjas is the brainchild of Lauren Prentice who has been described as Ofsted Inspector David Storrie as ‘an expert in setting up and running after school clubs.’
Each week we make a different recipe with the children and alternate between sweet and savoury recipes. One week the children could be making Spinach and Ricotta Lasagne and the next we could be making Mini Lime Cheesecakes- the possibilities are endless.

What is unique about Nutritional Ninjas is that we don’t need a kitchen to run, in fact, our clubs are best run in a classroom or school hall. Our teachers will leave the room exactly as they found it, ready for teaching the next day.
Children are in safe hands with our fully trained Nutritional Ninjas teachers, all of which have a passion for sharing their cooking skills with the next generation of young chefs. Our equipment is all selected to be safe for the children to use such as knives which ‘cut food and not fingers.’
We are open to all and aim to be fully inclusive. All of our recipes are vegetarian and nut free. We can also cater to other allergies and will consult with parents on how to best meet the individual allergy requirements of each child.
Classes can all be booked on the Book a Class section of the website. If you’re interested in launching a Nutritional Ninjas club at your school please do get in touch via the contact us page.
We work with many wonderful charities and trusts to bring our Nutritional Ninjas classes to children who may not otherwise have access to cookery classes.
We have projects available for disabled children, young carers, pupil premium children and many other groups. We believe that all children should have the chance to learn how to cook and how to look after their health through the food they eat regardless of ability, disability, gender, religion, race or financial position.

One area we are really passionate about is helping to tackle the issue of Holiday Hunger, where children on free school meals go without adequate food during the school holidays. We run grant funded, free holiday workshops for children in receipt of free school meals where they join us for full ‘food and fun’ sessions including breakfast, preparing and eating their own lunch and preparing something to take home for dinner for the whole family.

There is no need for a school kitchen, all of our classes can be run in a classroom or school hall. We have a range of ‘no cook’ recipes, or can arrange for recipes to be taken away with recipe cards to pop in the oven at home.
