NUTRITIONAL NINJA'S MISSION IS TO TRAIN MINI NINJAS IN ALL THINGS HEALTHY EATING, TO TEACH PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN TO COOK AND TO MAKE GOOD CHOICES ABOUT THE FOOD THAT THEY EAT.
Our classes run weekly after school for children aged 4 to 13; each week the children
learn to prepare and cook a different meal, to take home to share with their families.
Schools do not need to have a cookery room or kitchen and our clubs are best run in a
classroom, making them super convenient for schools. We provide all equipment,
ingredients and recipe cards for all of the children to take home.
Children get to make a range of different recipes including; stuffed peppers, cake pops,
nachos, scones, sushi, lemon tarts, ratatouille and many other tasty dishes to stretch
not only their cookery skills but also their palettes!
Children are in safe hands with our fully trained Ninja teachers; all of which are DBS checked,
certificated in Food Hygiene and we carry full public liability insurance. Many of our teachers
are also parents themselves with a passion for cookery and all things healthy eating.
Nutritional Ninjas is the brainchild of Lauren Prentice, an experienced after school clubs
professional who has been described by Ofsted inspector David Storrie as ‘an expert in
setting up and running after school clubs.’ Having worked in up to 50 schools each week,
Lauren saw how sparse many children’s knowledge on healthy food was and surveyed
both children on parents on how much cooking they did at home- the answer was
‘very little’ and it was from this that Nutritional Ninjas was born.
We specialise in not only fantastically fun after school clubs, but in educational
opportunities for the children which are easy for schools to set up. All of our bookings
for places are taken online so that there is no unnecessary paperwork for the school
office to deal with.
